Is DripEdge free to use?
Yes! DripEdge is completely free to use. We monetize through affiliate partnerships with brokerages and educational content, not by charging users.
Do I need to create an account?
You can use the basic calculator without an account. However, creating a free account allows you to save your portfolio, track progress over time, and receive weekly dividend reports.

What is a dividend snowball?
A dividend snowball refers to the compounding effect of reinvesting dividends. As you reinvest your dividends to buy more shares, those shares generate more dividends, creating a snowball effect that accelerates your wealth building over time.
What is DRIP (Dividend Reinvestment Plan)?
DRIP stands for Dividend Reinvestment Plan. It's a program that automatically reinvests your cash dividends into additional shares of the company's stock, often without commission fees. This is a key strategy for building the dividend snowball effect.
What are Dividend Aristocrats?
Dividend Aristocrats are S&P 500 companies that have increased their dividends for at least 25 consecutive years. These companies are known for their stability and consistent shareholder returns.
How is dividend yield calculated?
Dividend yield is calculated by dividing the annual dividend per share by the stock price. For example, if a stock pays $4 in annual dividends and trades at $100, the dividend yield is 4%.

How accurate are the projections?
Our projections are based on historical dividend growth rates and your specified parameters. While past performance doesn't guarantee future results, dividend aristocrats have a strong track record of consistent dividend increases. Always consider projections as estimates, not guarantees.
What stocks does DripEdge support?
DripEdge currently supports all US-listed stocks and ETFs. We pull real-time data from financial data providers to ensure accurate price and dividend information.
Can I import my existing portfolio?
Currently, you need to add stocks manually. We're working on adding CSV import and brokerage integration features in future updates.
How often is stock data updated?
Stock prices are updated in real-time during market hours. Dividend information is updated daily to reflect the latest announcements and ex-dividend dates.
Account & Privacy
Is my portfolio data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and security practices. Your portfolio data is stored securely and is never shared with third parties. We do not have access to your actual brokerage accounts.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, you can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. This will permanently remove all your data from our servers.
Do you sell my data?
No. We never sell your personal data or portfolio information. Our revenue comes from affiliate partnerships and advertising, not from selling user data.
